Job description
Contribute to automation development: In our agile team, you will develop and maintain embedded software for distributed control systems, ensure compliance with fieldbus standards, and help maintain the quality and reliability of our systems.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Develop embedded software for control systems across the full development process: design, implementation, testing, and validation - including both new products and maintenance of legacy systems.
- Review product requirements and create software designs based on a deep understanding of the requirements and the system environment.
- Develop software in accordance with the quality management system guidelines.
- Analyze customer requirements and issues and independently develop solutions.
- Ensure compliance with fieldbus standards and implementation guidelines for all communication interfaces.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of software architecture, development processes, and code quality within the team.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in embedded software development.
- Strong knowledge of embedded software architectures and operating systems.
- Experience with fieldbus systems, preferably PROFINET and OPC/UA.
- Familiarity with modern Agile development frameworks such as Scrum, and experience with practices and tools like DevOps and Azure DevOps Services.
- Business-fluent English skills and fluent German skills in spoken and written communication.
- High level of self-motivation, curiosity, and willingness to learn new technologies.
- Collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills.
