We are supporting a leading organisation working at the forefront of health data and research.
This is an opportunity to join a growing data team building modern, cloud-based data pipelines that support research used globally to improve how diseases are prevented, diagnosed and treated.
If you have strong foundations in Python and SQL and want to develop into a Data Engineer in a modern AWS environment, this role offers the platform to do that.
The role
You will be part of a Data Engineering team delivering secure, scalable data pipelines in a cloud-first environment.
This is a hands-on role where you will develop your engineering capability while working alongside experienced engineers.
You will:
- Build and develop data pipelines using Python and SQL
- Work with AWS-based technologies to process and deliver data
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code
- Follow best practices in software and data engineering
- Support the secure design, development and deployment of data solutions
- Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders across the team
Requirements
This role is suited to someone early in their career who is looking to move into or develop within Data Engineering.
You may currently be working as a Data Analyst, Junior Data Engineer, or in a similar technical role.
We're particularly interested in candidates with:
- Experience using Python and SQL for data work
- Exposure to data pipelines, ETL processes, or data transformation
- Awareness of AWS or other cloud platforms
- Understanding of software development principles (version control, testing, etc.)
- A strong willingness to learn and develop in a data engineering environment
