Job description

This is a genuinely high-impact role - not just operational oversight, but full ownership of a complex, multi-site technology estate at a point of real transformation.

You'll work directly with senior leadership to shape and execute a modern technology strategy, driving improvements across cloud, infrastructure, security, and end-user platforms.

If you're someone who enjoys taking control of environments, improving standards, and leaving things significantly better than you found them - this is that kind of role. What You'll Own

  • End-to-end ownership of infrastructure, cloud platforms, and technical operations
  • Evolution of a Microsoft-first environment (Azure, M365, Intune, Defender)
  • Ensuring resilience, availability, and performance across a multi-site estate
  • Full lifecycle management of devices, endpoints, and network environments
  • Driving security, compliance, and governance standards
  • Managing suppliers, SLAs, and external partners
  • Owning technology budgets, cost optimisation, and investment planning
  • Acting as a key bridge between technical teams and senior stakeholders

Why This Role Stands Out

  • Large, distributed environment with real complexity
  • Backed by leadership with appetite for modernisation and improvement
  • A role with real ownership and autonomy - not just delivery
  • Direct influence on strategy, standards, and direction
  • A balance of hands-on technical understanding + leadership responsibility

Requirements

  • Strong experience leading technical operations / infrastructure at scale
  • Deep knowledge of Azure, Microsoft 365, Intune, Defender
  • Experience managing cloud, networks, and endpoint estates
  • Track record of improving performance, resilience, and operational maturity
  • Experience leading teams and managing third-party providers
  • Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on when needed
  • Strong stakeholder engagement - able to influence at senior level

Nice to have:

  • Azure certifications / ITIL
  • Automation / scripting exposure
  • Experience in complex, multi-site environments
