Software Engineer - Defence Tech
A well-funded, ambitious technology company building advanced software and AI systems to power the next generation of autonomous platforms. At a pivotal stage of growth, you'll work alongside a high-calibre engineering team tackling complex, real-world challenges in mission-critical environments.
What Will I Be Doing:
- Design, build, and test core software platforms and intuitive user interfaces
- Develop systems that enable collaboration between autonomous platforms and process large-scale sensor data
- Create user-facing applications that present complex information clearly and effectively
- Write high-quality, reliable code for mission-critical environments
- Work closely with end users to rapidly iterate on features and improvements
- Test and integrate software with robotic and autonomous systems in real-world settings
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineers across AI/ML, networking, and robotics
What we're looking for:
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong programming skills in either:
- Backend languages such as C++, Java, Rust, or Python, or
- Frontend development using TypeScript/JavaScript (e.g. React or Angular)
- A genuine enthusiasm for learning and working across a broad technology stack
- The ability to solve complex technical problems in a fast-paced environment
Additional requirements:
- Right to work in the UK
- Willingness to undergo UK security clearance (SC or above)
- Ability and willingness to work primarily on-site, with occasional travel
