Job description

The VP, Head of Digital Solutions reports to the SVP, Head of Product & Solutions in Europe and leads product strategy and commercialisation of the Digital Solutions portfolio across Europe, including Digital Authentication (Token, Visa Secure), Secure Remote Commerce (SRC), Click to Pay (CTP), Passkeys, and Digital Identity.

This role sets the vision and drives execution of 'Ecommerce' as a key cross-functional strategic initiative, enabling more secure and seamless card-not present (CNP) and wallet transactions at scale, incl. increasing CNP token penetration, scaling frictionless authentication, and expanding Click to Pay credential enrolment. Success requires influencing across a complex matrix, embedding strong operating models, and leveraging data-driven insights to accelerate adoption and deliver commercial impact.

Beyond existing product commercialisation, this role champions innovation and trust in digital payments by shaping the next generation of product including identity solutions aligned with eIDAS, forging strategic partnerships, and embedding latest GenAI practices.

The role requires extensive leadership in mobilising squads, optimising through product lifecycle management, and aligning Europe's roadmap with global priorities (and vice-versa), while fostering a high-performance culture operating at ease in a matrix environment., Own EU-wide strategy, OKR delivery and P&L for Ecommerce and Digital Solutions-set direction, mobilize teams, and deliver measurable outcomes across Digital Authentication, Click to Pay, and Digital Identity. Use data-driven reviews and executive engagement to course-correct and pivot as required.

  • Click to Pay: Scale the footprint and adoption -lead issuer enrolment and merchant enablement to reach OKRs, drive active user credentials, and resolve blockers with acquirers/ PSPs and Regional Product, in alignment with SVP Europe and Product leads in markets.

  • Token & Authentication: Accelerate tokenization and authentication-partner with issuers, acquirers, and PSPs to lift CNP token penetration and frictionless authentication (Visa Secure), while reducing fraud; use merchant-level OKR playbooks and dashboards to guide interventions. Work closely with rest of Risk Solutions teams in VAS organisation on client opportunities.

  • Passkeys: Make Passkeys the preferred authentication method - deliver enrolments against OKRs, secure priority issuers supporting unified API or on-behalf-of (OBO) flows, and extend to PSP/merchant use cases; align identity flows to eIDAS opportunities and strengthen Visa Secureled enrolment paths.

  • Digital Identity: Lead the strategy and roadmap for identity solutions (e.g., eIDAS alignment, passkey flows, identity verification) to deliver seamless consumer experiences and achieve FY26 targets. Enable issuers and merchants for identity credentials, embed risk-based authentication, and engage regulators and Big Tech to position Visa as Europe's trusted identity provider.

Go-to-Market: Drive development and deployment of sales collateral, client narratives, and training materials to support product owners, strategic initiatives and cluster adoption. Champion Compass usage for insights and performance tracking, ensuring product and account teams are equipped with the latest resources and knowledge to engage clients effectively.

Client & Clusters: Operate with a client-centric mindset, participate in cluster and executive reviews, support client solutioning and early pilot deployment in markets, and guide client innovation roadmaps to align with Visa's OKRs.

Reporting: Establish a single source of truth for Digital Solutions-integrate Token, Authentication, Click to Pay, Passkeys analytics with Finance P&L, and drive consistent clients and markets reporting (monitor progress, status flags, remediation plans) so leaders can decide, date, deliver

Ways of Working: Mobilize teams around the Product vision, and model Visa Leadership Principles to strengthen engagement and accountability, focusing on client NPS, newly signed revenue, net revenue, and OKRs. Champion an AI-first mindset and embed AI into processes, tools, dashboards.

Global: Collaborate with Global to translate global roadmaps into successful Europe GTM and client outcomes; influence the global roadmap to meet regional requirements by closely collaborating with Product cluster leads and key account teams to deliver market-fit solutions

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in payments, technology or financial services, with a focus on digital products, Proven track record of product ownership and successful with revenue responsibility and team leadership.

  • Strong credentials leading large-scale digital product portfolios in payments or adjacent technology sectors, with measurable impact on adoption and revenue.

  • Deep expertise in payments and how the payments system operates, preferably with experience in some of the following areas: digital authentication, tokenisation, Click to Pay, and identity solutions, including regulatory frameworks such as PSD2 and eIDAS.

  • Strategic leadership skills to define vision, translate global roadmaps into regional execution, and deliver against ambitious OKRs.

  • Strong commercial acumen, with experience driving P&L outcomes and influencing investment decisions in a matrix organisation, both internally and client

  • Operational excellence, including mastery of product lifecycle management, deployment models, and agile delivery at scale. Deep understanding of GTM frameworks, blockers and issue resolution to ensure time to market

  • Data-driven decision-making, leveraging analytics and insights to measure and optimise performance, and course-correct effectively.

  • Executive influence and stakeholder management, with ability to engage C-level clients, Big Tech partners, and internal leadership forums.

  • Innovation mindset, comfortable embedding new technologies and innovation into product strategies and operating models.

  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of articulating complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences and driving alignment across regions.

  • Talent leadership, with a history of building high-performing teams and fostering a culture of accountability and inclusion.
