Job description

To help us build the foundation of our future fab in Dresden, we are looking for a highly motivated and passionate: AMHS Software Engineer (m/w/d) Optimize the heartbeat of our production. As an AMHS Software Engineer, you are the mastermind behind the control system of our Automated Material Handling System (AMHS). You ensure that millions of transport movements mesh seamlessly, eliminate bottlenecks, and take the efficiency of our production line to the next level., Your Mission: Maximizing Performance Through Intelligent Control:

  1. System tuning & KPI boost: You analyze transfer data and optimize system performance to achieve capacity targets and minimize process variability.
  2. Seamless integration: You ensure seamless communication between the AMHS, production equipment, and higher-level control systems.
  3. Innovation & Automation: You design KPI monitoring systems and develop solutions to reduce manual intervention (manual loading) to a minimum.
  4. Project Management & Cross-FAB Leadership: You lead cross-site projects to reduce costs and increase productivity-from planning through to go-live.
  5. Team Mentoring: You will lead and develop a team of technicians and engineers, foster team spirit, and share your knowledge.
  6. Lifecycle Management: You will validate new software features, lead annual upgrades and retrofit projects, and assist in the setup of new fab installations.

Requirements

You are a proactive teamplayer who combines in-depth technical knowledge with leadership skills and a hands-on approach.

  1. Education: Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science (IT), Systems Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Expertise: In-depth knowledge of optimization algorithms, Industrial Engineering (IE), and information technology (C#, Java, Python, SQL, Oracle, MS-SQL, VBA).
  3. Experience: Professional experience in the semiconductor industry is required.
  4. Methodology: You are proficient in applying problem-solving methods such as FMEA, SPC, and 8D.
  5. Personality: A goal-oriented team player with leadership potential who keeps a cool head even in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  6. Language: Fluent in English (company language). Basic communication skills in Mandarin or German is a plus.
