Job description
Based in Basel with the flexibility to travel asrequired , this role offers a seasoned IT professional the chance to provide world-class, personalized technical support to Lonza's executive leadership and VIPs. You will be the face of IT for our highest-level stakeholders, ensuring that their technology is seamless, secure, and always optimized in a high-stakes, fast-paced environment., * Provide expert on-site and remote technical assistance , resolving hardware, software, and network issues with the highest level of professionalism and urgency.

Manage a specialized suite of mobile devices, laptops, and collaboration tools, ensuring secure VPN access and seamless communication for VIPs globally.

Take full ownership of AV and IT systems for board-level meetings and executive presentations, serving as the primary technical point of contact on-site.

Perform regular "health checks" on VIP equipment and environments to prevent downtime before it occurs, staying ahead of potential outages.

Build deep, professional relationships with executives to understand their unique technical preferences and provide personalized IT training to enhance their productivity.

Handle sensitive data and high-level interactions with absolute discretion, ensuring all support activities strictly adhere to global IT security policies.

Work closely with specialized IT teams and leadership to escalate complex issues and implement software updates with zero disruption to executive workflows.
Requirements

3-5 years of experience in IT or Business Services, with a proven track record specifically in high-touch VIP or Executive support.

Advanced troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and networking, including mobile device management and secure meeting room technologies.

Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to remain calm, composed, and discreet under extreme pressure from high-profile stakeholders.

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Management (or equivalent experience) and ITIL certification are required to ensure alignment with global service standards.

Business fluency in English is essential; fluency in German is highly preferred to support our stakeholders in Basel and beyond.

A logical thinker who can translate complex technical information into simple, actionable advice for non-technical users.
