Design Engineer

ARCA is supporting an innovative MedTech organisation developing next-generation medical devices, looking to bring in an experienced Senior Design Engineer to support a key development phase. This is a hands-on role across the full product lifecycle - from concept through to design refinement and validation, within a regulated environment. The role:

• Mechanical design and development of medical devices
• Creating and iterating CAD models and technical drawings
• Supporting design verification & validation (DV&V)
• Collaborating with R&D, QA/RA, and manufacturing teams
• Contributing to design documentation in line with regulatory standards

• Design Engineer within MedTech / medical devices

• Strong CAD capability (SolidWorks or similar)

• Experience working within ISO 13485 environments

• Understanding of design controls, risk (ISO 14971)

• Familiarity with verification & validation processes

• Able to operate effectively in fast-paced, project-led environments Nice to have:

• Electromechanical or drug delivery device experience

• Exposure to manufacturing processes (e.g. injection moulding, machining)

• Knowledge of FDA / MDR requirements
