Sellick Partnership is currently partnered with Cardiff City Council who are looking to recruit a Senior Solutions Engineer on a permanent, full time basis to join their expanding Infrastructure team. Although the council offices are based in Cardiff, the council are happy to discuss and negotiate flexible, hybrid working arrangements and encourage a healthy work-life balance. With a focus on the ongoing schools expansion project across Cardiff, this opportunity provides and exciting series of projects that will allow you to expand on current knowledge and skills. Key responsibilities of the Senior Solutions Engineer
- Maintain and enhance end user computing services to meet council needs
- Diagnose and resolve complex issues, using automation and orchestration to improve performance and efficiency
- Monitor, test and manage end user infrastructure to ensure performance, quality standards and service targets are met
- Support ICT project planning by ensuring end user computing requirements are included in specifications
- Respond to Service Desk incidents and requests, prioritising effectively and meeting SLAs

Requirements
- Experience developing and delivering solutions using automation and orchestration tools to improve and streamline ICT services
- Practical understanding of user experience and requirements analysis, with the ability to identify user needs and implement effective solutions
- Proven experience in problem management, including investigation, prioritisation, root cause analysis and implementation of preventative actions
- Hands-on experience managing, deploying and supporting Microsoft Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Office and Microsoft Azure
- Demonstrable experience researching and implementing new technologies to enhance service delivery
- Strong knowledge of end user computing and IT infrastructure, with experience supporting enterprise environments
- Experience using Microsoft automation technologies, including Power Platform and PowerShell
