Job description

  • Design, deploy, and optimise Azure network architectures including Hub & Spoke, Landing Zones, Virtual Networks, Subnets, NSGs, UDRs, and VNet Peering.
  • Define and implement connectivity strategies across Azure, AWS, on-premises, and third-party environments using SDWAN, ExpressRoute, site-to-site VPNs, and remote VPNs.
  • Manage office network connectivity, including core/access switching, WiFi APs and controllers, firewalls, and 802.1x authentication.
  • Deploy Infrastructure as Code using ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform for scalable and consistent network builds.
  • Implement and maintain secure networking using Azure Firewall, Azure DDoS Protection, and other native security services.
  • Monitor network performance and security using Azure Monitor, Network Watcher, and SolarWinds.
  • Troubleshoot complex multi-layered network issues and configure routing protocols such as BGP across hybrid environments.
  • Produce clear network documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with architects, infrastructure and security engineers, and application teams to deliver coordinated, future-ready solutions.

Requirements

  • Proven experience with Azure networking, including Virtual Networks, NSGs, VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute, Traffic Manager, and Azure Monitor.
  • Solid knowledge of hybrid networking technologies: VPNs, LAN/WiFi, firewalls, and Cisco networking.
  • Understanding of core protocols: TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/S.
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform).
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a high-performing technical team.
  • Participate in the on call rotation as required.
