Job description
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a system administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining, developing, and troubleshooting the company's IT systems and infrastructure. You will ensure that users are supported day-to-day while proactively improving processes, systems, and security to help the business grow smoothly., * Provide first and second line technical support for users.

Maintain and manage servers, networks, firewalls, and cloud systems.

Administer Microsoft 365, Azure, and device management platforms.

Implement cybersecurity measures including backups, antivirus, updates, and access control.

Manage IT equipment procurement, setup, and asset tracking.

Handle onboarding and offboarding of staff IT access and equipment.

Deliver small IT projects such as upgrades, migrations, and office setup changes.

Maintain clear IT documentation and identify opportunities to improve systems and processes.
Requirements

Experience in a general IT support or systems administration role.

Strong knowledge of Windows, Linux, Microsoft 365, Azure, networking, cloud services, and virtualisation.

Good understanding of cybersecurity practices and backup/monitoring tools.

Ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently.

Able to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment with attention to detail.
Skills Required:

Knowledge of Cyber Essentials standards.

Scripting or automation experience (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).

Familiarity with ITIL or ticketing systems.

Experience with VoIP, conferencing technology, or CRM systems.

Basic understanding of GDPR and IT compliance.
