Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing complex data sets, developing insightful visualisations, and supporting business decision-making processes.   • Develop interactive dashboards and visualisations using Tableau and Power BI to communicate insights effectively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Design and optimise databases with Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and utilise VBA for automation tasks.
  • Support project management activities throughout the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), ensuring timely delivery of analytics solutions.
  • Conduct business analysis to identify opportunities for process improvements and data-driven decision-making.
  • Create detailed documentation of data models, database designs, and analysis procedures using Visio.
  • Utilise Bash (Unix shell) scripting for data processing tasks where applicable.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends in data analysis, modelling, and visualisation techniques.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst or similar role with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
  • Proficiency in SQL, R, Python, Tableau, Power BI, and VBA.
  • Solid understanding of database design principles and experience working with Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Familiarity with SDLC methodologies and project management practices.
  • Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets into actionable insights.
  • Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills to present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
