Job description
We are looking for a Web & UX Designer who can both design great websites and manage their delivery through to launch.
You will play a key role in shaping the visual structure, layout and user experience of client websites while coordinating with our development partners to bring designs to life.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys designing websites but also taking ownership of projects and seeing them through to completion.
The Role
You will lead work across multiple client websites, supporting everything from initial design concepts through to launch and ongoing optimisation.
Our development work is handled by a trusted partner agency, so your role focuses on:
- website design and UX
- translating design ideas into build specifications
- managing delivery with our development partner
- maintaining and improving client websites.
You will work closely with our SEO and marketing teams to ensure websites not only look great but perform well.
Key Responsibilities
Web Design & UX
- Design website layouts, page structures and user journeys
- Create wireframes and page designs for new website builds
- Ensure designs align with client branding and marketing goals
- Work with the SEO team to design pages that perform in search
- Improve UX and conversion across existing websites
Website Project Management
- Manage website projects from brief through to launch
- Work with clients to define requirements and project scope
- Coordinate builds with our third-party development agency
- Manage timelines, testing and launch processes
- Ensure projects stay on time and within scope
CMS & Website Management
- Upload and manage content across WordPress and other CMS platforms
- Implement UX and design improvements across existing sites
- Support landing page creation for campaigns
- Maintain website content and structure
Client Collaboration
- Work directly with clients to understand website requirements
- Present design ideas and website concepts
- Translate feedback into clear design and development tasks, You will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced marketers and strategists while taking real ownership of website projects.
Requirements
We are looking for someone who enjoys designing websites and improving digital experiences, while also being comfortable coordinating projects.
Essential
- Experience designing websites or digital interfaces
- Strong layout and UX thinking
- Experience using tools such as Figma, Adobe XD or similar
- Familiarity with WordPress or other CMS platforms
- Ability to work with developers to deliver designs
- Strong organisational and communication skills
Nice to Have
- Basic understanding of HTML and CSS
- Experience working in a marketing or digital agency
- Understanding of SEO and conversion optimisation
- Experience managing web projects or website launches, Candidates should be able to attend the Leeds office regularly.
