Job description
We are looking for a proactive and technically capable IT Administrator to join our IT Operations team, supporting a user base of over 700 colleagues. This is a hands-on role that sits at the heart of day-to-day IT operations, working closely with the IT Operations Manager, IT Managers and wider IT team to ensure systems remain secure, reliable and fit for purpose.
You will play a key role in supporting and maintaining the organisation's IT infrastructure, contributing to operational stability, security compliance and continuous improvement. The role also offers exposure to wider IT projects and collaboration with third-party suppliers, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety and responsibility within an operational IT environment., As IT Administrator, you will support the delivery and maintenance of the organisation's server, network and Active Directory environment, ensuring systems operate effectively and in line with information and cyber security policies. You will administer and maintain core IT tools and technologies, keeping documentation accurate and up to date, and supporting the IT Operations Manager with software updates, patch management, renewals and requisitions to maintain compliance and system integrity.
Requirements
You will work closely with third-party providers to support infrastructure services and resolve escalated end-user issues, as well as contribute to wider IT projects as required. This role requires a practical, hands-on approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational setting.
Skills, Experience & Technical Knowledge
The successful candidate will have strong experience supporting a Microsoft-based environment, including Office 365 and Azure, along with proven experience working with IT infrastructure, server hardware and software. You will be confident supporting Windows Server environments (2019 and above) and working with HPE and Dell server hardware.
A solid understanding of networking concepts and administration is essential, including WAN, LAN, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, as well as experience with DNS, DHCP and Terminal Services. You will also be comfortable producing reports and analytics to support scheduled IT management reporting., We're seeking someone who is technically competent, organised and service-focused, with the confidence to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams and external partners. You should be comfortable operating across a broad range of IT operational tasks and committed to delivering a high-quality support service.
