Job description

We are seeking a Security Systems Analyst to join our award-winning UK-wide team. You'll be part of a collaborative, fast-paced environment that values innovation, ownership, and professional growth. This role focuses on analysing security system performance data to drive proactive improvements, reduce alarm fatigue, and optimise system reliability across a global estate., 1. Alarm Data Analysis

  • Extract and query security system databases to retrieve alarm event logs.
  • Use SQL or similar languages to clean, analyse, and interpret large datasets.
  • Identify false or nuisance alarm patterns, recurring faults, and genuine security events.
  • Provide root-cause insights to minimise repeat incidents.
  1. Alarm Reduction Strategy
  • Develop evidence-based recommendations to reduce alarm fatigue.
  • Propose and support configuration changes (sensitivities, thresholds, escalation paths).
  • Collaborate with vendors and technical teams to optimise system behaviour.
  • Contribute to refining alarm governance, response protocols, and escalation processes.
  1. Reporting & Visualisation
  • Build and maintain reporting dashboards in Power BI and Excel.
  • Deliver clear visual summaries of key metrics, trends, and performance KPIs.
  • Highlight high-risk areas and report progress on alarm reduction initiatives.
  1. Stakeholder Engagement
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to security leaders and operational teams.
  • Lead workshops on best practices in alarm management.
  • Train key stakeholders on interpreting data and responding effectively to alerts.
  • Work closely with global Security Leads and STAT teams to ensure consistent implementation.
  1. Continuous Improvement
  • Track and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented improvements.
  • Benchmark performance against internal KPIs and industry standards.
  • Identify emerging risks and recommend proactive interventions.
  • Stay up to date on new tools, technologies, and analytics practices.

Requirements

  • Strong SQL (or equivalent) experience for data extraction and transformation.
  • Ability to write and run scripts across multiple systems.
  • Competence in Power BI (essential) and advanced Excel skills (highly desirable).
  • Understanding of electronic security systems, including alarms, sensors, and access control.
  • Experience with AMAG system architecture, programming, or configuration.

Pay: £350.00-£450.00 per day
