Job description
As a part of Boeing's simulator engineering team you will be responsible for managing the life-cycle of FSTD software including (but are not limited to): Providing technical engineering support for global simulator devices of all Boeing airplanes types and device manufacturers
- . Fixing software bugs, and planning and executing simulator software modifications and updates to align to airplane changes
- . Deploying new software loads, completing software/systems validation and verification, and following software configuration processes
- . Learning the simulator architecture, tools, and processes in order to create a plan for long term device updates and engineering maintenance
- . Maintaining and tuning the simulator Qualification Test Guide (QTG) objective tests
- . Maintaining and testing simulator visual systems in conjunction with the local campus teams
- . Working closely with Boeing and customer pilots to ensure subjective validation of device
- . Collaborating and overseeing supplier technical work on FSTDs

- . Work closely with simulator operations teams to keep the Boeing simulator fleet operating seamlessly and ready to train customers 24/7

You need to be able to work independently amongst a global network of virtual resources, have a strong sense of accountability and the aptitude to learn new skills, have excellent troubleshooting and problem solving abilities, and be eager to work on a diverse and international team. Candidate must have the ability to work unsociable hours where this is necessary and must be able to travel internationally in support of the Boeing global training network.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- Proven track record in the development or maintenance of flight simulator software.
- Familiarity with commercial airplane systems and cockpit functionality.
- Ability to read and interpreting technical documents, schematics, and drawings.
- Collaborative teamwork skills and the desire to work with a diverse international team.
- Excellent technical communication and writing., * Experience with the simulator qualification process and regulatory environment.
- Experience with simulator qualification test guide (QTG) software, execution, and generation.
- Experience using Specification Control Documents (SCDs), Interface Control Documents (ICDs), schematics, wiring diagrams or other Boeing design documents.
- Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process., Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Required
