Infrastructure & Network Engineer

As an Infrastructure and Network Engineer, you will play a key role in deploying our applications on-premises at client sites, in our own infrastructure, and in the cloud. You will configure secure network environments and ensure our monitoring systems stay operational. You will work within the integrated "Delivery and Solutions" team of Fluves and Marlinks, taking ownership of infrastructure deployments and responding to operational incidents.

Deployment & Configuration

• Configure and execute Infrastructure as Code deployments to roll out applications across hybrid infrastructure.
• Configure and secure network settings for servers in client networks and cloud environments.
• Coordinate with technical experts on the client side on technical requirements and network interfaces.

Monitoring & Incident Response

• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, application, and network issues across all environments.
• Document incidents and resolutions for continuous improvement.

Collaboration & Improvement

• Collaborate with colleagues from the Product Development & IT Infrastructure Team and the Delivery & Solutions Team on customer projects and infrastructure initiatives.
• Support the sales team with technical pre-sales questions related to infrastructure and network requirements.

• Have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, Network Engineering, or have gained equivalent knowledge through experience.
• Are an early-career professional with at least two years of experience in infrastructure, network engineering, or DevOps roles.
• Have practical experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Ansible.
• Are familiar with monitoring and alerting systems such as Grafana, Prometheus, or similar tools.
• Have a solid understanding of network configuration, security (firewalls, VPNs, access controls), and troubleshooting.
• Are proactive, detail-oriented, and energized by solving operational challenges.
• Have strong communication skills and can work effectively with both technical teams and clients.
• Can work at our Ghent office at least 50% of the time. Note: fully remote work is not considered.
• Are willing to travel (~5-10%).
• Are fluent in English.

The following are a plus

• Linux system administration experience.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Podman).
• Scripting skills (Bash, Python) for automation tasks.
• Working knowledge of Dutch or any additional languages are an asset.
