Job description

B&M Retail is one of the UK's leading variety retailers, continuing to grow at pace with an ambitious expansion strategy. We excited to offer an opportunity for a Data Analyst to join B&M Retail on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract, supporting a high-profile transformation programme. This is a pivotal role where you will collect, process, and analyse data to inform strategic business decisions and drive meaningful change across the organisation. Working closely with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Senior Management, you will provide actionable insights that support B&M's transformation objectives. If you are passionate about turning data into insight and thrive in a fast-paced retail environment, this role offers the opportunity to make a real impact., * Collect, cleanse, analyse, and visualise data from multiple sources to generate actionable insights that support business decisions and transformation objectives.

  • Translate complex analysis into clear reports, dashboards, and recommendations for stakeholders,
  • Ensure data accuracy, quality assurance, and adherence to change management processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, provide ad-hoc analytical support.
  • Maintain documentation, and continuously improve data processes and best practices.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in data analysis with strong statistical knowledge.
  • Proficiency in Excel, SQL, Python or R.
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualisation tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Relevant certifications in data analysis would be beneficial.
  • Experience within retail or large-scale transformation programmes would be highly desirable.
