Data Analyst (IT Support Services)

We're seeking a Data Analyst to play a key role in strengthening performance measurement and insight capabilities. In this role, you will transform complex operational data into accessible, high-quality metrics that support confident decision-making and effective service delivery.

You will collaborate across teams to improve data quality, develop robust reporting mechanisms, maintain data systems, and ensure data integrity throughout its lifecycle. • Develop a strong understanding of data across multiple service areas, including how systems and processes map to underlying data, and identify innovative solutions to technical challenges.
• Ensure all statutory and non-statutory reporting to central government and external agencies is accurate and delivered on time.
• Act as an analyst on Data & Insight projects, working with services to gather requirements and support the Senior Data Analyst in translating them into analytical specifications and delivery plans.
• Collaborate with data management colleagues to ensure timely access to high-quality data for insight development.
• Analyse data to identify patterns and trends, using statistical techniques such as correlation, significance testing, and time-based analysis, and present findings through effective visualisations.

• Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline, or
• Demonstrable significant experience in a data analytics or insight-related role

Skills & Experience Required

• Experience working with business areas to understand service delivery processes and associated data, translating these into reporting requirements
• Demonstrable experience in an effective combination of Report Development, Case Management Systems, Cloud Servers, Information Management, Business Intelligence
• Demonstratable knowledge of an effective combination of Microsoft Power BI, Transforming data using Power Query and M, Creating data models including multiple tables from relational sources, Producing effective data visualisation across reports and dashboards, Analysing data using DAX, Microsoft Sharepoint, SQL coding language, SQL Server Data Tools (SSIS / SSRS), SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
