Job description
In this role you will be responsible for overseeing IT support to staff and pupils within a school environment, and managing IT equipment, software and resources. This is a 1st & 2nd line support role, and you will have support from a wider trust level IT team, where you can escalate higher level IT issues. During school holidays you will also have the opportunity to get involved with exciting IT projects
- Provide support to staff & students throughout the school
- Mobile device management
- Setting up IT equipment for events, assemblies, exams etc
- Managing IT equipment & stock
- Assist with large scale projects
- Escalate higher level issues
Requirements
You will need proven experience of working in IT within the education sector for 2 years minimum. The school is an Apple school - so experience working with Apple products is highly desirable (although not essential) including MacOS, iOS, Jamf Pro, Jamf School and Apple Classroom. Knowledge of basic networking protocols is also needed, including patching, VLAN's and network troubleshooting, however upskilling and support will be provided! With the growth of the trust and multiple projects ongoing, the trust are looking for a self motivated individual who is able to manage their own workload in a timely manor. Given the customer facing nature of the role, you will need excellent communication skills - this is not a back office IT role! Benefits & conditions
In return you will receive a salary of £27,000 - £32,000, 30 days annual leave plus bank holidays, free school meals in term time and CPD opportunities.
