Job description

Location: Remote working with travel to client site 1-2 times per months in London Inside IR35 Job Purpose The Information Modeller is responsible for creating, maintaining, and managing data models that support business intelligence and analytics initiatives. This role focuses on translating business requirements into data structures and ensuring that the information architecture aligns with the organisation's strategic goals., + Develop and maintain data models that accurately represent business processes and data flows.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective data designs.

  • Ensure data integrity and consistency across models and databases.

  • Provide support for data governance initiatives by establishing and enforcing data standards.

  • Conduct regular reviews and updates to data models to reflect any changes in business needs or technology.

  • Create documentation for data models, including entity-relationship diagrams and data dictionaries.

  • Assist in the integration of data from various sources to enhance analytical capabilities. Experience and Technical Knowledge

  • Internal: Data Analysts, Business Intelligence Teams, IT Department, Business Stakeholders.

  • External: Vendors, Data Providers, Consultants.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in data modelling, including experience with tools such as ERwin, IBM InfoSphere Data Architect, or similar.

  • Strong understanding of database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL) and data warehousing concepts.

  • Familiarity with data governance principles and best practises.

  • Proficient in SQL and data manipulation languages.

  • Ability to analyse complex data sets and identify trends.

  • Knowledge of business intelligence tools and data visualisation techniques is an advantage.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Capacity to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.

  • Relevant certifications in data modelling or data architecture are a plus
