Tasks
- Oversee and enhance network and telephony infrastructure (LAN, WAN, WLAN).
- Manage server operations, ensuring performance, security, and compliance.
- Lead IT service projects and coordinate with external providers., SVA Zurich is on the path from a classic service desk organization to a modern and controlling IT. As Service Manager IT Infrastructure (focus on network), you are responsible for the setup, operation, and targeted further development of our server infrastructure, partner management, and cross-departmental projects.
Your role and your tasks.
Network & Telephony
Responsibility for operation, monitoring, and further development of the network and telephony infrastructure (LAN, WAN, WLAN, CTI, VPN)
Ensuring availability, performance, security, and compliance of network systems
Creation and maintenance of documentation, monthly service reporting, and continuous optimization of operations
Analysis and resolution of faults and performance issues including 2nd and 3rd level support
Ensuring compliance with SLAs with external service providers and vendors
Ensuring compliance with IT service management processes (e.g., incident, change, and problem management)
Leadership and optimization of the CAB (Change Advisory Board)
Server management
Operation, administration, and continuous monitoring of system performance, capacity, and availability
Ensuring backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes
Analysis, troubleshooting, and sustainable resolution of infrastructure and performance issues
Automation of infrastructure processes and deployments
Management and coordination of external IT providers, hosting partners, and managed services
Monitoring and compliance with service level agreements (SLA) as well as escalation management towards service providers
Participation in infrastructure projects, migrations, and architecture developments
Projects & collaboration
Planning, coordination, and implementation of IT service projects in the network and telephony area
Taking on partial project responsibility (analysis, design, implementation, handover to operations)
Technical interface between departments, IT, and external service providers
Requirements
- Higher education in IT or equivalent, with at least five years of experience.
- Strong knowledge of ICT Service Management and network technologies.
- Analytical, solution-oriented, and excellent communication skills., * Completed higher education in computer science (HF/FH) or comparable qualification
- At least five years of professional experience in network, infrastructure, or IT service management
- Further training in the IT field with recognized certificates (e.g., ITIL V4, Cisco, IT service management or infrastructure)
- Very good knowledge in ICT service management: methods and standards, SLAs, and BCM
- Windows and Linux servers as well as server virtualization
- Network technologies (LAN, WAN, WLAN, CTI, VPN)
- IT security and network security
