Job description
We're partnering with a globally recognised FinTech organisation undergoing significant growth to hire a Data Engineer. This role will focus on designing and enhancing data pipelines that underpin market abuse surveillance across trading and communications platforms. You'll be responsible for ensuring data reliability, integrity, scalability, and regulatory compliance across both structured and unstructured datasets. Working across engineering and operational functions, you'll support business-critical surveillance systems and broader data lake initiatives within a highly regulated financial environment., * Build and optimise end-to-end ETL/ELT data pipelines
- Implement automated data validation, reconciliation, and monitoring controls
- Ensure data lineage, governance, and regulatory compliance standards
- Provision and manage AWS infrastructure using Terraform or CDK
- Investigate and resolve data issues across integrated systems
Requirements

Experience building data pipelines within financial markets or high-volume transactional environments

Strong Python or Java and SQL skills, plus frameworks such as Airflow, dbt, or Spark

Solid AWS experience and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CDK)

Understanding of CI/CD, observability, and regulated environments
