Job description

They are now hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer to take ownership of CI/CD pipelines, automation, and release engineering practices across the organisation. The Opportunity This is a hands-on, senior engineering role focused on improving how software moves from development through to production. The environment is not cloud-native by design - it includes legacy systems, on-prem infrastructure, and multiple product stacks that need to be brought into a consistent, automated delivery model. You will play a key role in: Designing and building CI/CD pipelines end-to-end Standardising build and release processes across teams Implementing Infrastructure as Code and configuration management Supporting the integration of on-prem and cloud environments Improving deployment reliability, repeatability, and speed Working closely with engineering teams to improve how software is delivered This role is suited to someone who enjoys solving delivery and automation challenges, rather than building platform tooling or internal developer platforms. Technical Environment The platform operates across a hybrid infrastructure, including: On-premise and data centre environments Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) Mixed legacy and modern application stacks Key technologies and practices include: Docker and Docker Compose Ansible (core to configuration management) Terraform (Infrastructure as Code) CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.) Build and artifact management (e.g. Maven, Gradle, NuGet) This is not a Kubernetes-focused environment. The priority is simple, reliable, well-automated delivery pipelines, not container orchestration platforms. What They're Looking For The ideal candidate is a senior DevOps engineer with a strong understanding of software delivery, not just infrastructure.

Requirements

Strong experience building and owning CI/CD pipelines Hands-on experience with: Docker / Docker Compose Ansible Terraform Experience working in hybrid or on-prem environments Strong understanding of build and release processes Ability to improve and standardise delivery across teams Highly Desirable Previous experience as a software engineer, or strong development background Experience working with: .NET or Java build ecosystems Artifact repositories and package management

Who are we?

Muse Group began life as Ultimate Guitar, the largest online global community of musicians. Eugeny Naidenov founded Ultimate Guitar in 1998, with a dream to make it easy for guitarists to play songs by Guns ‘N’ Roses and his other favorite rockers. From there, the site grew from a plucky, tab-sharing trailblazer into a global leader of online music publishing.

In 2017, Ultimate Guitar acquired MuseScore, expanding its reach into sheet music. Muse Group has only continued to grow from there — and now includes Audacity, StaffPad and many more.

In 2023, Muse Group acquired Hal Leonard, the legendary global sheet music publishers, adding an unparalleled music catalog and educational expertise to the team.

Today, we are an international, visionary team of creatives, music lovers and audio obsessives, developing products we could not live without.
