Job description

We're supporting a global software company as their team in Northern Ireland expands. They're looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to strengthen reliability, scalability and developer productivity across their cloud estate. This is a hands-on role with real influence where the DevOps Engineer will shape standards, improving automation and enabling product teams to ship faster and more safely. If you're motivated by improving engineering velocity and building resilient, scalable platforms, this is a strong opportunity to make meaningful impact. The Role

  • Design and evolve cloud-native platform infrastructure
  • Deliver Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation or similar)
  • Enhance CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
  • Embed SRE principles (SLIs, SLOs, error budgets)
  • Improve monitoring, observability and performance
  • Strengthen cloud security, access controls and compliance (ISO 27001, SOC2, GDPR)
  • Mentor engineers and lead platform initiatives

Technologies Cloud (AWS-led), Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, GitHub Actions/Jenkins/ArgoCD, Python/Bash.

Requirements

  • Solid commercial experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering or Site Reliability - with experience operating at a senior level.
  • Strong cloud expertise (AWS, Azure or GCP)
  • Container orchestration (Kubernetes).
  • Infrastructure as Code experience & CI/CD tooling knowledge.
  • Database and replication exposure (e.g. Postgres, MongoDB).
  • Strong scripting skills (Python, Go, Bash).
  • Solid understanding of networking, security and distributed systems.
  • Proven ability to lead platform-focused initiatives.
