Job description
The Digital Data Specialist plays a critical role in delivering a world-class digital data foundation. Reporting to a Digital Data Implementation Lead, each Specialist is responsible for a defined scope (e.g., a set of journeys, a brand domain, a product category, or a platform area). They ensure the accurate, scalable and future-ready implementation of digital tracking, tagging and data structures that power analytics, CRO, experimentation, reporting, and AI-driven insights.
This role is highly collaborative, working closely with engineering, product, UX, analytics and CRO to ensure that digital data is correctly captured and ready for operational and strategic use.
What you'll do

Deliver tagging, tracking and data capture implementation across your assigned journeys/platform areas, ensuring accuracy and adherence to measurement requirements.

Execute QA and validation activity on new features, releases, propositions and journey updates, flagging and resolving any data defects.

Maintain detailed documentation for your area including measurement requirements, tagging guidelines, schemas, event tracking documentation and data dictionaries.

Work with product, UX, brand, engineering and CRO teams to ensure measurement needs are understood and integrated into delivery plans.

Conduct root-cause analysis for data issues, identifying tagging gaps, incorrect triggers, or schema inconsistencies., We are regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and all offers of employment for this role are subject to background checks, including criminal (DBS) and financial checks to meet the regulators standards.

Requirements

Experience in digital analytics implementation, tagging, technical data enablement or measurement roles.

Working knowledge of analytics and tagging tools such as Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Tealium, GTM, Floodlight, or similar.

Understanding of event-based tracking models, data schemas, and modern measurement foundations.

Ability to read and interpret data layer specs, JSON structures, tag firing logic, and browser-based tracking behaviours.

High attention to detail with strong QA capability across tagging, event logs, tracking behaviour and data validation.

Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, brand,, product, CRO, UX and insights teams.

Strong problem-solving skills, able to identify issues and recommend appropriate technical fixes or workarounds.
