Job description
As part of the supportability engineering group (ca. 65 domain experts) within the Services Segment, you will be member of a great and inspiring team of Logistic Engineering and Obsolescence Management consisting of approximately 22 colleagues. Supporting our systems during the entire lifecycle.
About the job
The main part of the work consists of control and overseeing software applications in their life-cycles, ensuring support and maintaining control over software assets throughout time. In your role as Manager, you will prepare software obsolescence analyses and reports. To do this effectively, you will maintain frequent contact with various stakeholder departments, including Engineering, Services & Lifecycle Policies, Suppliers and various Product Teams, as well as with customers. In consultation with others, you will work on solutions and strategic decisions to effectively minimize the impact on software availability for our customers.
Your role will be to maintain our databases in this field which is essential for delivering our services to our customers, consistency and accuracy are essential here. You will be stepping into a dynamic and rapidly evolving field that is becoming increasingly critical to our customers. This area is at the forefront of operational advancement, with continuous development shaping its future landscape. Your role will not only involve adapting to these changes but actively driving them forward-bringing your ideas, passion, and unique insights to innovate and influence the direction of this vital domain.
Personality and attitude (fitting in the team) is of more importance than the specific knowledge on this topic, you need to have the capability and eagerness to adapt this knowledge during your period of training on the job.
Requirements
- We're looking for a candidate with HBO level of work and thinking, analytical and sociable
- You enjoy working both as part of a team and independently;
- Interested in the maintenance of technical products;
- Strong communication skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction;
- Strong in problem and data analysis, solution-oriented, and entrepreneurial;
- Proficient in MS Excel;
- Creative, proactive, pragmatic, and results-oriented attitude
- Experience with (component) availability/lifecycle management/supply chain/procurement is a plus;
- Proficient in English, both verbally and in writing.
