We're Hiring: Infrastructure Engineer

Job Location: London (Hybrid - 3 days in the office)

We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to join our technology team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting and maintaining enterprise infrastructure systems, with strong expertise in Axway, SQL Server databases, and UNIX environments. This role is critical to ensuring system reliability, performance, and security across our platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage, support, and maintain infrastructure components across production and non-production environments
  • Administer and troubleshoot Axway platform components to ensure secure and reliable data transfer
  • Support and maintain MS SQL Server databases, including performance monitoring, backups, and recovery
  • Administer and troubleshoot UNIX/Linux systems, including system configuration and Shell Scripting
  • Monitor system health, resolve incidents, and perform root cause analysis
  • Collaborate with application, security, and network teams to ensure seamless infrastructure support
  • Participate in system upgrades, patching, and capacity planning activities
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and runbooks
  • Support on-call and incident management processes as required

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong hands-on experience with Axway (Gateway, Secure Transport, or related components)
  • Solid experience with Microsoft SQL Server (administration, performance tuning, backups, restores)
  • Proven experience working in UNIX/Linux environments
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Shell Scripting (bash, ksh, or similar)
  • Knowledge of system monitoring and alerting tools
  • Understanding of ITIL processes and enterprise infrastructure support
