Join our HR team in a home-based / hybrid role and play a key part in supporting the delivery of world-class cancer care through an exceptional employee experience.
As the HR Onboarding and Systems Assistant, you will take ownership of onboarding and HR systems (particularly HiBob), ensuring a seamless, compliant, and data-driven experience for new starters across the business. This role is ideal for someone with strong HR systems experience who enjoys working with data, improving processes, and driving efficiency.
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract with real opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
What you'll do
- Lead onboarding delivery - manage end-to-end onboarding for all new starters, ensuring a smooth, compliant, and engaging journey from offer through to induction
- Own HR systems - maintain and enhance HiBob workflows, automations, and templates to improve efficiency and user experience
- Provide expert support - act as a key point of contact for employees and managers on HR systems and onboarding queries
- Ensure compliance and accuracy - manage employee records, pre-employment checks, and ensure audit readiness with a high level of attention to detail
- Leverage people data - produce reports, analyse trends, and provide insights to support decision-making
- Collaborate cross-functionally - work closely with hiring managers, IT, and Learning teams to deliver a joined-up onboarding experience
- Drive continuous improvement - identify and implement opportunities to streamline processes and enhance system capability
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' experience in an HR role, with exposure to onboarding and HR systems
- Strong experience working with HRIS platforms (HiBob highly desirable)
- Proven ability to manage HR data accurately and maintain system integrity
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends or risks
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Confident Excel or Google Sheets skills (intermediate level or above)
- Strong communication skills with a proactive, service-focused approach
- A systems-focused mindset with a passion for improving processes and efficiency
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Desirable
- Experience in a healthcare or regulated environment
- Experience of workflow automation, system configuration, or process optimisation
- CIPD Level 3 (or working towards), * Do you have hands-on experience using an HR system (HRIS), such as HiBob, Workday, or similar?

Pay: £28,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
