Senior Application Engineer - MES

As a Senior Application Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering solutions that integrate seamlessly into our clients' IT/OT landscapes. You'll design, implement, customize, and optimize software solutions - always keeping the client's operational needs at the center.

Beyond project work, you'll act as a technical leader, guiding junior colleagues, sharing expertise, and driving continuous improvement. With ATS, you'll have the freedom to broaden your specialization, learn across domains, and grow into an Expert Application Engineer.

What you'll do

Client Engagement

• Collaborate with sales on demos, advice, and estimations.
• Build trusted relationships with clients, leading technical discussions and guiding them through the solution lifecycle.
• Translate operational challenges into tailored solutions.

Solution Design & Development

• Map client needs to product capabilities with deep understanding of manufacturing and business processes.
• Create functional and technical specifications, reducing ambiguity and aligning expectations.
• Configure and customize solutions, including integrations with IT and OT systems.
• Document solutions, provide training, and ensure long-term usability.
• Lead technical execution, delegate tasks, and review results from junior engineers.

Collaboration

• Work across multidisciplinary teams in an open, knowledge-sharing culture.
• Communicate clearly with stakeholders and resolve conflicts when needed.
• Mentor less experienced colleagues to support their professional growth.

Continuous Improvement

• Stay ahead of emerging technologies and adapt quickly.
• Optimize workflows and quality assurance practices.
• Lead knowledge-sharing sessions, driving innovation and efficiency across the team.

Do you have experience in Visual Basic?, Do you have a Master's degree?, * Bachelor's or Master's degree (e.g., Industrial Automation, Computer Science, Technical Business Administration) or equivalent practical experience.

• Proven achievements in software design, development, and implementation, ideally in industrial/manufacturing environments.
• Track record of project success and technical leadership.

• Strong knowledge of multiple programming and scripting languages.
• Expertise in database design, scripting, and performance.

• Professional fluency in Dutch and English.

Specialisation focus: MES

• In-depth expertise with MES software products.
• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL.
