Job description
We are seeking an IT Support Engineer with 4-6 years of experience to provide desktop and end-user support services in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The role involves supporting users with hardware, software, and network-related issues while ensuring smooth day-to-day IT operations.
The candidate will be responsible for installing and configuring desktop systems, peripherals, and software applications for employees, ensuring proper setup and functionality. The role also includes troubleshooting technical issues related to hardware, software, and connectivity, both onsite and remotely.
Key responsibilities include performing routine system maintenance such as updates, upgrades, and backups, as well as maintaining accurate documentation of support requests, resolutions, and system configurations. The engineer will also develop and update knowledge base articles for recurring issues.
In addition, the role involves providing user training and support to improve system usage, collaborating with other IT teams to resolve complex issues, and ensuring proper security configurations to protect systems from cyber threats.
Requirements
