Job description

The Labour Party is looking to recruit a Head of Data. The post-holder will be responsible for leading on the Party's use of polling and other data to drive our political and organisational strategies

Requirements

  • Thorough understanding of how polling data, demographic information and canvassing data can be used together to drive targeting strategies and improve the relevance and power of political messaging.
  • Extensive experience of propensity modelling and Multi-level Regression with Post-stratification (MRP) and the application of such techniques to political campaigning.
  • A high level of experience of working with advanced statistical packages, such as R, SPSS, or Stata.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentational skills and ability to distil complex analyses and findings into clear messages, including to politicians.

The Labour Party's standard working arrangement is that all employees based in headquarters in London/Newcastle attend their contracted office four days per week, Monday to Thursday. Home working is only authorised on Fridays.

Benefits & conditions

Salary: £63,586.70 (gross) per annum inclusive of London Weighting, with a fixed sum allowance of £1,195. There is the ability to progress to £70,394.81 over the next 2 years.
