To help achieve this vision, we are looking to further strengthen our team with an experienced Principal Consultant who brings both a track record of working with healthcare organisations to define, design and implement digital solutions that enable performance improvement and transformation in healthcare service delivery, as well as experience of leading delivery teams and building follow on work through delivery excellence.
We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with a strong track record in shaping and delivering technologyenabled change programmes within the NHS, whether working with national bodies, ICSs, or provider organisations.
You will bring a deep understanding of the endtoend programme lifecycle for Electronic Patient Record deployments, covering business case development, procurement, solution design, implementation, optimisation and structured change management methodologies (e.g., ADKAR).
We are especially interested in individuals with handson experience or specialist expertise in one or more EPRadjacent domains, including:
- Patient Engagement Platforms & Portals
- Screening and Diagnostics Workflows
- Capacity & Demand Management Tools
- Theatre Productivity and Scheduling Solutions
- Shared Care Record Systems (ShCR)
- Pathway Information Management & Flow Tools
- Clinical AI / Decision Support and Automation Tooling
We are looking for a Principal Consultant that can demonstrate an ability to translate clinical and operational needs into scalable digital solutions, and who understand the realities of delivering complex change in frontline NHS environments, who will thrive in this role.
Youll bring a clear focus on benefits realisation and return on investment, and understand how digital transformation can improve outcomes for patients, staff, and systems. Whether your background is rooted in digital, operational, or strategic roles, what matters is your ability to shape, lead and deliver complex technology-enabled change initiatives in the health sector.
What would be expected of me as a Principal consultant?
Delivery
- Leading delivery teams, workstreams and/ or consulting engagements with health sector clients, with a focus on digital transformation initiatives day-to day.
- Managing the approach taken by the engagement teams to client workshops, meetings and presentations.
- Ensuring that all deliverables produced meet or exceed client expectations.
- Responsibility for owning day-to-day operational risk.
Quality assurance and practice development
- Responsible for quality assurance processes within engagements/workstreams
- Ensuring lessons learned are acted upon within engagements, client accounts and shared internally to underpin continuous improvement.
Business development & commercial management
- Supporting new sales leads and converting them into opportunities.
- Supporting the development and growth of key client accounts within the health sector.
- Supporting commercial proposals based on a thorough understanding of clients needs and requirements.
- Ensuring existing engagement are delivered with minimal commercial risk
Relationships, marketing and value propositions
- Being a trusted advisor to clients
- Using existing network and expanding personal network in the health sector to explore and create new leads and opportunities.
- Leading or contributing to health sector marketing initiatives, including events, thought leadership, and campaigns.
- Contributing to the design, development and delivery of Channel 3 value propositions in the health sector, achieving demonstrable impact and return on investment.

The ideal candidate(s) will have proven people management skills and have a passion for developing colleagues across the Channel 3 business. They will provide ongoing coaching and mentoring and will support our teams learning and development and general wellbeing.
Requirements
- Experience in a consulting role within a management consultancy environment.
- Expertise of the healthcare sector, the interconnectivities within it and the ways that healthcare organisations engage with consultancy services.
- Proven capability for creating high-quality, impactful documentation and reports that can engage across all groups, holding credibility with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- The ability to interpret data and insight to support evidence-based recommendations and measurable impact for clients.
- Strong understanding of NHS structures and business processes in the NHS, including national bodies, local systems and / or providers.
- Experience leading healthcare digital transformation initiatives, such as EPR implementation / optimisation, patient engagement portals, shared care record systems ideally in client-side delivery partner roles.
- Experience in designing new processes and implementing technology solutions to support and enable clients to operate more effectively and efficiently.
- A hands-on approach and a confidence to engage with customers and perspective clients and make things happen.
- Highly effective communication and influencing skills to achieve desired outcomes. Strong ethics and integrity and be a role model to others.
