Job description

  • Support the reliability and performance of the cloud platforms your squad owns
  • Use observability tooling, metrics and logs to detect, diagnose and prevent issues
  • Contribute to incident response, post-incident reviews, and problem management
  • Help build automation that removes toil and improves operational efficiency
  • Work with engineers, Product Owners and platform teams to balance reliability with delivery
  • Contribute to improving SLOs, error budgets and product health measures
  • Participate in engineering ceremonies, knowledge-sharing and continual improvement initiatives

Requirements

  • Experience with public cloud platforms (Azure and/or GCP)
  • Experience with Github pipelines and Terraform Modules
  • Understanding of observability (metrics, logs, traces) and how they improve system health
  • Some exposure to SRE concepts such as SLOs, SLIs and error budgets
  • Ability to write or contribute to automation (Python, PowerShell, Terraform, CI/CD etc.)
  • Knowledge of modern engineering practices such as DevOps, infrastructure-as-code and automation
