This is an exciting opportunity for an AWS Solution Architect to join a high-performing cloud team, working on complex, enterprise-scale transformation programmes.
You'll play a key role in designing and delivering scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud solutions, with a particular focus on enabling modern applications and AI-driven workloads. The role spans the full lifecycle - from architecture and design through to implementation - working closely with cross-functional teams including developers, data scientists, and engineers.
You'll act as both a technical leader and trusted advisor, helping clients maximise the value of cloud technologies while remaining hands-on in delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing and implementing scalable, secure, and high-performing AWS cloud solutions
- Architecting and supporting cloud-native applications and modern infrastructure
- Leading end-to-end cloud migration programmes from legacy environments
- Optimising cloud cost, performance, and scalability (including GPU and serverless workloads)
- Developing and maintaining cloud architecture standards, frameworks, and best practices
- Implementing robust cloud security controls and ensuring compliance with industry standards
- Collaborating with engineering, DevOps, and data teams to deploy applications and ML pipelines
- Providing technical leadership and guidance across cloud-related initiatives
- Evaluating and recommending new cloud services and capabilities
Requirements
- 5+ years' experience designing and delivering cloud solutions (AWS preferred)
- Strong knowledge of core AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, VPC, IAM, Route 53)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation)
- Proven experience leading cloud migration strategies and implementations
- Strong understanding of cloud security and compliance frameworks (e.g. CIS, SOC2)
- Experience with DevOps tooling (e.g. Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes)
- Ability to work in fast-paced, client-facing environments
Desirable:
- Multi-cloud experience (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience with hybrid cloud/on-prem integration
- Exposure to AI/ML workloads and data-driven platforms
- Background in large-scale consulting or transformation programmes
