AWS Solution Architect - Senior Manager

Are you a senior AWS architect ready to lead large-scale cloud transformation programmes for some of the world's most complex organisations? We're working with a global professional services leader to find a talented AWS Solution Architect at Senior Manager level; a high-impact role sitting at the intersection of cloud strategy, enterprise architecture, and digital transformation.

The Role

This is a senior leadership role within a high-performing cloud practice, working with tier-1 clients across multiple industry sectors. You'll define cloud strategy, lead transformation programmes, and engage at board and executive level, while also mentoring and building capability within the team.

This isn't an ivory-tower architecture role. You'll be hands-on, client-facing, and directly accountable for turning cloud strategy into tangible outcomes.

What you'll be doing:

• Defining cloud strategy and governance models, setting enterprise architecture standards for AWS adoption
• Aligning complex business objectives with scalable, secure cloud solutions
• Leading large-scale cloud transformation programmes, data centre exits, legacy modernisation, cloud-native builds
• Driving innovation across data, AI, security, and multi-cloud strategies
• Ensuring regulatory compliance and security best practice across all cloud environments
• Presenting cloud architectures and strategies to executive boards and governance forums
• Mentoring managers and consultants, building technical capability across the team

Significant hands-on experience designing and implementing AWS cloud solutions

AWS Professional and/or Associate certification (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or equivalent)

Ability to translate business requirements into scalable, secure cloud architectures

Strong grasp of data platforms, analytics, and AI/ML-driven solution design

Proficiency across modern cloud patterns; serverless, containerised, microservices, CI/CD

Deep knowledge of security architecture: identity, access management, encryption, compliance Experience with integration patterns, event-driven architecture, and hybrid connectivity

Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

Bonus points for:

• AWS Specialty certifications (Advanced Networking, Machine Learning, Security)
• Multi-cloud experience with Azure or Google Cloud

Important: All offers are subject to BPSS and SC security clearance, which requires 5 years of continuous UK address history at the point of application.

Package: Competitive base salary + 30 days annual leave + private medical insurance + 3 additional days charitable leave per year.
