Senior Data Architect

We are supporting a leading organisation in the financial services sector in their search for an experienced Data Solution Architect to drive the design and delivery of modern, scalable data platforms. This is a key role where you will take ownership of end-to-end solution architecture, ensuring that data solutions align with both business needs and enterprise-wide architectural standards. You'll operate at the intersection of business and technology, translating complex requirements into robust, future-proof solutions. Your Role As a Data Solution Architect, you will play a central role throughout the full project lifecycle-from early-stage analysis to final delivery. You will shape architectural decisions, guide delivery teams, and ensure high-quality, consistent implementation. Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and maintaining end-to-end data solution architectures

• Producing and governing architecture documentation and ensuring alignment with internal review processes

• Collaborating with enterprise and application architects to define technology stacks

• Driving best practices in development methodologies, frameworks, and coding standards

• Translating business requirements into scalable and efficient technical designs

• Supporting project leadership with planning, estimations, and technical insights

• Providing mentorship and technical direction to development and design teams

• Ensuring solutions are implemented in line with approved architecture

• Promoting reuse of existing assets and optimising overall solution efficiency

• Documenting architectural decisions and ensuring transparency across stakeholders

• Strong experience as a Data / Solution Architect in complex IT environments

• Proven track record delivering large-scale data solutions end-to-end

• Ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively

• Structured, analytical mindset with a proactive and solution-oriented approach

• Comfortable working in collaborative, cross-functional teams

Technical Expertise Experience with the Microsoft Azure ecosystem is essential, including:

• Azure Databricks

• Azure Synapse Analytics

• Azure Data Factory

• Azure Analysis Services

• Azure SQL & Cosmos DB

• Azure API Management & App Services

• Azure DevOps

Additional assets:

• Knowledge of BI tools such as Power BI

• Experience with Archimate modelling

• Familiarity with tools like Sparx Enterprise Architect

• Strong understanding of cloud-based architectures
