Data Scientist

FryerMiles are delighted to be working with an exciting SME Consultancy to assist with their recruitment of a DV cleared Data Scientist to work on a 6 month rolling contract (long term opportunity)

The successful candidate will support the development, optimisation, and sustainment of advanced AI and machine learning solutions in a defence environment. You will work on mission critical capabilities, helping deliver data driven insights, improve operational effectiveness, and support secure, reliable decision-making., * Develop, maintain, and improve machine learning models for operational use. Support the deployment and optimisation of AI solutions in production. Build scalable data pipelines and workflows to support model performance. Work with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to develop new features and use cases. Ensure solutions meet security, regulatory, and ethical standards. Contribute to resilient, maintainable, and high performing AI systems.

• Strong Python programming skills. Experience building and deploying machine learning models. Knowledge of MLOps tools such as MLflow, Airflow, Docker, and Kubernetes. Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab or Jenkins. Understanding of Data Engineering, ETL, and scalable system design. Ability to work effectively in secure, complex, and regulated environments. Must hold valid DV Clearance

Desirable skills

• Experience in computer vision or imagery analysis. Familiarity with defence, national security, or government programmes. Understanding of responsible AI and secure system delivery.
