Basis Consultant, SAP Operate, SAP Run Services, Technology & Transformation

This can be both a support or project role depending on where business demand is coming from. You will require excellent technical and customer facing skills with the ability to explain complex technical issues to senior customer stakeholders in your project or our Service Delivery Managers. You may be supporting multiple customers and their diverse range of systems so the ability deal with many clients and manage competing priorities is essential.

Essential: SAP Basis skills including:

• ABAP and Java experience
• Managing Transports
• Kernel patching, host agent update, DB patching, SAP Notes, saprouter install and update,
• Version Upgrades and Support Package Stack patching
• System copies & refreshes
• Log and trace file analysis
• Solution Manager
• HANA Database Administration

Desirable but not essential:

• Installation
• Performance analysis
• Web Dispatcher, SAP Router, Apache administration skills
• SSL/TLS knowledge
• Cloud Connector install and config
• SSO/IAM
• Knowledge of SAP/HANA/Oracle HA and DR set up
• Backup & Recovery
• SAP Cloud knowledge BTP, IAS/IAM
• SAP Cloud ALM
• Operating system experience (Linux and Windows), filesystems, scripting
• Cloud Service Providers Skills, AWS - EC2/VPC/S3/EFS, Azure - Compute/Networking/Storage
• Networking: understanding of subnets and IP ranges, Routing, Firewall, Network tracing
