Are you passionate about technology and eager to make a real impact in an educational environment? Reaseheath College is seeking a proactive and customer-focused IT Technician to join our dynamic IT team. This is a fantastic opportunity to support the digital backbone of a forward-thinking college where innovation meets industry., As an IT Technician, you'll play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the College's IT infrastructure. From troubleshooting hardware and software issues to supporting classroom AV setups and preparing systems for key events, your work will directly support both staff and students in delivering an outstanding learning experience., * Provide 1st and 2nd line technical support across campus
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and peripherals
- Manage classroom AV equipment and offer basic training to staff
- Create user guides and contribute to the IT knowledge base
- Prepare IT systems for exams, meetings, and events
- Operate within the service desk system (TOPdesk) to track and resolve issues
- Support the Systems Team with maintenance and troubleshooting tasks
- Ensure compliance with GDPR, safeguarding, and College policies
Requirements
- Hold a Level 3 IT qualification (e.g., Microsoft MTA, BTEC, A-Level)
- Level 2 Maths and English ( GCSE Grade C/4 or above)
- Demonstrate solid knowledge of PC hardware, networking basics, and Windows tools
- Be familiar with Office 365, Active Directory, and SCCM imaging
- Communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users
- Be well-organised, professional, and able to work independently or in a team
- Be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends where required
