Job description
The primary role is to support, maintain and upgrade the internal IT systems of DBPixelhouse across all departments. You will be responsible for preventing, and if necessary, troubleshooting and resolving technical problems and providing training to users to maximise the productivity value of technology in business. Your goal will be to ensure our technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently.
In this role, the individual will protect our critical information, systems, and assets, build solutions, implement new software and hardware, provide training, and assist in the development of an overall IT strategy. From early on, you'll help empower our breakthrough innovations, be given challenging assignments, lead initiatives, and take ownership and responsibility.
Main Duties
Support
· Provide 1st and 2nd line support for incidents and support escalated problem resolution.
· Support Microsoft-based solutions (Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, Microsoft 365, Azure).
· Manage modern data centre technologies including virtualisation (ProxMox), storage, backup, and disaster recovery.
· Support migrations and upgrades from legacy systems to cloud or hybrid platforms.
· Support the organisation with external accreditations and audits regarding IT systems
· Ensure policies, procedures, system documentation and audits are recorded fully and stored in line with current organisation process.
· Support automation of tasks and systems to improve efficiency and alerting of issues.
Network
· Monitor system security and network posture including onsite hardware, cloud applications and vulnerabilities.
· Maintain, assist and support the internal IT structure.
· Support upgrades and changes to the organisations network and systems.
· Ensure backup and recovery systems are in line and operational with organisational policy.
System, Business Intelligence & Application Development
· Development and maintenance of business intelligence reports
· Development of internal systems, with respect to interoperability between external solutions, both on promise and cloud based.
· Support the alignment of DBpixelhouse with group companies from a technology perspective.
Offsite IT Preparation
· Support FOG hardware systems and RTS equipment
· Manage and maintain images
· Provide training and development for internal staff in the use of RTS equipment
· Support new image creation
Other Duties
· To comply with Company policy, procedures and authority levels
· Other ad hoc duties as shall reasonably be requested.
· Provide elevated / SME user support for business applications
· Ad Hoc onsite support for events
Requirements
· Excellent communication skills with a commitment to understanding staff requirements as well as business objectives.
· To maintain a professional, positive and helpful attitude at all times with seniors, colleagues and team members
· To be diligent and hard working with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines unsupervised daily
Experience
· Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP
· Microsoft 365, Entra, Intune & Exchange Online
· Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, networking, security)
· Experience with virtualisation solutions.
· Knowledge of storage, networking, and backup technologies.
· Some experience in data centre migrations and transformation projects.
· Some understanding of IT security best practices including conditional access, MDM and MAM
· Some developer experience with Python, Zoho and Deluge would be positive.
· Sharepoint development and implementation
