• Strong Windows Server / Microsoft 365 / Azure AD troubleshooting
• Confident owning escalations (not just passing tickets)
• Familiarity with Fortinet Firewall
• Comfortable managing MSPs: SLAs, ticket quality, challenge bad advice
• Knowledge of baseline cyber frameworks (Cyber Essentials / ISO-aware)
• Familiar with Microsoft security stack (Defender, MFA, Conditional Access)
• Experience in patch management & vulnerability awareness
• Ability to implement security controls, not just write policies
• Proficient in Power BI (data modelling, DAX fundamentals)
• Understanding of Power Query / ETL thinking
• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric or modern data platforms
• Ability to design a single source of truth, not just reports
• Experience in Power Apps (Canvas + Dataverse) or equivalent low-code platform
• REST API integration mindset
• UX pragmatism in building usable tools
• Understanding of security boundaries (internal vs customer apps)
• Useful experience with Epicor (or similar ERP): BAQs, REST/API, upgrades
• SQL literacy (views, joins, performance awareness)
• Understanding of manufacturing concepts: BOMs, routings, work centres
• Ability to extract ERP data cleanly for reporting & forecasting
• Comfortable documenting systems and processes
• Ability to create repeatable runbooks, not just Word documents
