Job description
Technical Leadership
- Define and lead the technical direction for next-generation computing architectures.
- Identify key research challenges in AI-driven systems and guide exploration of innovative solutions.
- Drive advancements in system efficiency, scalability, resilience, and cost-effectiveness.
Innovation & Architecture Development
- Lead the development of advanced techniques in:
- Architecture design and performance analysis
- Workload modeling and computational mapping
- Design space exploration and optimization
- Develop and utilize tools and methodologies for evaluating architectural trade-offs.
- Contribute to innovations in:
- Microarchitecture design
- Interconnects and system integration
- Advanced packaging and thermal management
- Reliability and redundancy mechanisms
Strategic Problem Solving
- Prioritize technical challenges based on impact on system performance and competitiveness.
- Define strategies to achieve scalable, production-ready breakthroughs.
- Ensure feasibility and practical applicability of proposed solutions.
Collaboration & Technical Influence
- Act as a technical authority within the organization.
- Communicate complex ideas clearly across internal teams, stakeholders, and external forums.
- Collaborate with global research and engineering teams to influence architecture roadmaps.
Research & Knowledge Advancement
- Stay at the forefront of global research trends in computing systems and AI.
- Generate high-impact outputs such as:
- Prototypes
- Publications
- Patents
- Integrate emerging technologies and best practices into ongoing research efforts.
External Engagement
- Build partnerships with academic institutions and industry collaborators.
- Represent the organization in the broader scientific and technical community.
- Contribute to thought leadership in computing architecture.
Requirements
- PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong track record in advanced computing architecture, particularly for AI-driven systems.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in research and development in computing architecture.
- Demonstrated ability to identify key challenges and deliver innovative solutions.
- Experience with AI technologies such as:
- Large language models
- Foundation models
- Multimodal systems
- Other advanced computing applications (e.g., HPC, graphics, cryptography, emerging computing paradigms)
- Strong publication record and/or significant patent contributions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in microarchitecture, SoC, hardware platforms, and memory system design.
- Proficiency in workload analysis and hardware-software co-design.
- Knowledge of semiconductor design and manufacturing processes, including packaging technologies.
