Job description

Snowflake Infrastructure Specialist (Contract)

£500-£600 per day inside IR35 Remote-first (occasional London travel if required)

A global consultancy operating in the insurance space is looking for a Snowflake Infrastructure Specialist to support their Infrastructure Delivery team.

The role is focused on platform and infrastructure engineering within Snowflake, working closely with DevOps and data teams to deliver a secure, scalable, and automated environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design and manage Snowflake infrastructure with a focus on security, scalability, and automation
  • Implement and manage Snowflake RBAC, including roles, users, warehouses, and grants
  • Automate Snowflake object deployments (databases, schemas, roles, warehouses)
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Snowflake deployments
  • Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
  • Ensure compliance with security and governance standards
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues

Required Experience

  • Strong hands-on Snowflake platform/infrastructure experience
  • Proven experience with Snowflake RBAC
  • Solid Terraform experience managing Snowflake resources
  • CI/CD pipeline experience (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of IaC, automation, and DevOps best practices
  • Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
