Performance Test Engineer (Contract) Location: Hybrid (London & occasional travel)

We are currently seeking an experienced Performance Test Engineer to join a high-profile software engineering programme within a secure and complex delivery environment. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a critical project focused on performance, scalability, and resilience.
Role Overview
You will be responsible for designing, executing, and managing performance and load testing activities across a modern, cloud-based platform. Working closely with engineering and DevOps teams, you will play a key role in ensuring system reliability under real-world conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute performance and load testing strategies
- Conduct fault injection testing to validate system resilience
- Analyse system behaviour under stress and identify bottlenecks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise performance
- Manage and report on test execution and outcomes
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in performance and load testing
- Strong experience with fault injection testing
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes environments
- Solid background in test execution and management (expert level)
- Familiarity with scalable, distributed systems
