Job description
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to reinforce their Data Management team. You will play a key role in the design, implementation, and optimisation of data pipelines within a modern Azure-based data platform. The team manages the organisation's data lake, data warehouse, governance framework, and supporting tools.
This role involves hands-on engineering, solution design, testing, and coaching junior data engineers., * Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using
- Azure Data Factory , Mapping Data Flows , and Databricks (PySpark) .
- Implement scalable and performant data solutions aligned with best practices.
- Execute and document testing activities for data pipelines.
- Define and enhance development standards for data integration processes.
- Provide code reviews and coaching to junior engineers.
- Contribute to data quality, metadata management, and lineage processes.
- Participate in continuous improvement of data management practices.
Requirements
- 4+ years working with analytics or data-driven use cases.
- Experience with multi-technology integration projects.
- Preferable: experience in the financial or insurance sector.
- Azure Cloud Data Platform (3+ years)
