Software Engineer

• Lead delivery of Trade Finance technology initiatives with strong governance, execution discipline, and stakeholder alignment
• Provide hands-on technical leadership across Java/Spring Boot services and database-backed solutions
• Drive adoption and practical use of AI-enabled capabilities where appropriate (e.g., automation, intelligent triage/insights, knowledge retrieval), ensuring controls and responsible use
• Apply deep knowledge of commercial trade finance to shape solution design and delivery outcomes
• Provide hands-on technical leadership across Java/Spring Boot microservices, APIs, integration patterns, and database-backed solutions
• Guide engineering teams on coding standards, performance, resiliency, and security, ensuring solutions are scalable and supportable

• Proven experience as a software engineer, with strong focus on Java
• Extensive experience in banking, trade finance and transformation programmes
• Trades Finance domain expertise. Strong understanding of commercial trade products and processing, with the ability to translate business requirements into robust technical delivery outcomes
• Full-stack Java engineering: Extensive hands-on experience delivering enterprise solutions using Java, with strong capability across backend services and data layers (APIs, integrations, databases), and experience leading engineering teams through design and implementation
• Experience building and operating Spring Boot services, with exposure to microservices patterns, CI/CD, automated testing, and production support practices
• AI exposure with practical implementation (preferred)
