Software Engineer (AWS/Claude Code)

Location: Manchester Duration: 3-Month Contract Placements: 2 Roles Contract: 37.5 Hours per Week

Urgent 3 Month Contract

This is a Manchester based role with an excellent immediate start within a Global Technology Client that is working to Build and maintain software applications and services

Our client is looking for 2 Software Engineers to support a major AWS cloud migration project.

This role is ideal for developers with strong AWS experience and knowledge of Claude Code/AI coding tools.

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain software applications and services
Support cloud migration and platform modernisation on AWS
Assist with data migration, validation, and rollout
Create and maintain infrastructure-as-code and deployment pipelines
Monitor, troubleshoot, and support production systems
Investigate and resolve incidents
Use Claude Code/AI tools to speed up development and delivery

Required Skills

Strong software engineering background
Hands-on AWS experience
Experience with cloud migration and/or data migration
Infrastructure-as-code/CI/CD experience
Production support and incident management experience
Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Nice to Have

Container/cloud-native experience
Legacy system modernisation experience
On-call/operational support experience
