Job description
Our client is seeking an Enterprise Data Architect with a strong focus on Microsoft Fabric and AI-driven data ecosystems to help design and evolve their enterprise data landscape. This role is ideal for someone who operates at the logical and conceptual architecture level, shaping how structured and unstructured data is organized, governed, and leveraged for advanced analytics and AI use cases.
This is not a hands-on SQL development role instead, you will define data strategies, architectural patterns, and integration frameworks that enable scalable, intelligent data platforms., * Define and maintain the enterprise data architecture strategy aligned with business and AI initiatives
- Design logical data models supporting both structured and unstructured data domains
- Architect solutions leveraging Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Data Factory, OneLake, Synapse integration)
- Establish data architecture standards, patterns, and governance frameworks across the organization
- Partner with business, analytics, and engineering teams to translate requirements into scalable data solutions
- Guide the integration of AI/ML capabilities into the enterprise data ecosystem
- Define data classification, lineage, and metadata management strategies
- Provide architectural oversight for data ingestion, transformation, and consumption layers
- Collaborate with security teams to ensure data privacy, compliance, and access controls
- Act as a thought leader on modern data architecture trends, especially within the Microsoft ecosystem, To provide a consistent, fair, and flexible experience for all candidates, we use AI-assisted tools to support parts of the interview process. This includes our proprietary AI platform Pete & Gabi, which includes AI recruiter Rebecca.

- Transcribe interviews
- Summarize candidate responses
- Generate job-related insights
- Streamline communication and scheduling

Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, or enterprise data strategy
- Strong experience with Microsoft Fabric or related Microsoft data platforms (Azure Synapse, Data Lake, Power BI)
- Expertise in designing logical and conceptual data models
- Experience working with both structured and unstructured data architectures
- Solid understanding of data governance, metadata management, and data quality frameworks
- Familiarity with AI/ML data requirements and data preparation patterns
- Ability to work across teams and influence technical direction without direct authority, * Experience with data mesh, data fabric, or lakehouse architectures
- Exposure to AI/ML platforms and integration into enterprise data ecosystems
- Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF)
- Experience in cloud-native data platforms, especially within Azure
Benefits & conditions
Salary/Rate: $75-$100/HR (depends on experience level). This is a contract position with candidates expected to work 40 hours/ week.
