Job description

The IT Technician will support the agency's computer systems by diagnosing computer problems, installing software, setting up new equipment, and performing tests on computer hardware, Security, Audio/Video, Networks and Communications systems., * Provide level 1 support for basic issues

  • Install and configure basic hardware and software components to ensure usability
  • Maintain and upkeep Computers and other devices such as Tablets, Cell Phones, Scanners and Printers
  • Test, diagnose, repair, reconfigure, assemble, integrate, and test basic systems
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues
  • Repair or replace damaged hardware
  • Prepare, install and configuring new equipment for deployment
  • Provide support to users and act as the first point of contact for issue reporting
  • Provide basic technical training for end users
  • Establishing good relationships with all departments and colleagues
  • Managing technical documentation of work performed

Requirements

  • High School diploma
  • Reliable transportation; job requires 50% travel
  • 2 years' experience in computer systems and maintenance
  • Experience with supporting Microsoft Windows 7-10
  • Basic networking experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
